Before You Begin
Confirm that the domain points to the hosting account and that SSL is available. Decide whether WordPress should load on the main domain or inside a folder.
Open Softaculous In cPanel
Log in to cPanel and locate the Softaculous Apps Installer. Choose WordPress and select the installation option.
Choose The Installation Location
Select HTTPS when SSL is active. Choose the correct domain. Leave the directory field empty to install WordPress on the main domain. Entering a directory such as blog installs it at example.com/blog.
Create Secure Administrator Details
Use a unique administrator username and a strong password. Avoid common usernames such as admin. Enter an email address you can access because WordPress may use it for account and security notices.
Complete The Installation
Review the site name, language, update preferences, and backup options. Start the installation and wait until Softaculous confirms completion.
Important Steps After Installation
- Log in and update WordPress, themes, and plugins.
- Remove unused themes and plugins.
- Confirm HTTPS works without browser warnings.
- Create a backup before making major design changes.
- Use only trusted plugins from reputable sources.
